Take 3!

Take 3!  Brian and I are working on our third and final sample to send to QVC.  Well, actually we are on "Take 4", but we are not counting the first sample sent.  The first sample we sent was before we had completed consumer product testing, so we automatically failed. It was also destroyed in shipping. Thinking that was just odd, we sent another one, not changing our packing method.  This was the only WindowKitty® ever damaged, so we thought it was an anomaly, and we just sent another one.  GUESS WHAT, that one was damaged too. So, things are getting pricey. Thinking about our strategy and the fact that we only have bubble wrap and boxes, we conducted our own drop test trying to break it ourselves.  We smashed three WindowKitty's before we were successful!  But guess what, we failed again because I mentioned our locking buttons as tabs and as buttons.  AAAHHH. Also, our pictures in the instructions are not very good.  I went ahead and found some white cardboard to use for taking pictures and they look professional. We are getting there, but I don't think we realized we only had 3 opportunities.  So, we are crossing our fingers that we have everything perfect at this point.  I spent all weekend updating our instructions making sure everything was correct and uniform.  We will be okay if we fail.  The entire process has improved the quality of our product, answered the most asked question (how much weight does it hold) and we learned a lot.  If any of our followers would like to learn or would like any information on what we have been through send us an email. We love sharing how we've gotten this far and things we maybe would have done differently had we known!

IMPROVEMENTS

One item of feedback we've heard from our customers is that we should have a comfy bed for WindowKitty®.  We searched to find one and couldn't, so we decided to take a stab at making our own. They measure 32" x 9" and we actually are having a good time making them.  We need to create a bunch before we list them on our website, here is a preview:
